Search should understand, not just match

When a customer says 'something for a winter work trip under $200,' they aren't typing keywords. They're expressing intent. Search should parse meaning the way a great salesperson would.

Explain, don't just recommend

Every recommendation should come with reasoning. Customers deserve to know why something was suggested and what tradeoffs exist — not just a ranked list with no context.

Layer on, don't rebuild

Companies have spent years building their product catalogs, APIs, and infrastructure. The right approach adds intelligence on top of what already exists, not a rip-and-replace.

Measure everything

If you can't evaluate whether AI is helping, you're flying blind. Every decision Kinect makes is measurable, traceable, and improvable.

We're a small, technical team in San Francisco. We work closely with our customers and move fast.

Our team brings experience from Google, MongoDB, Coinbase, and venture-backed AI startups. We've built intent-to-action commerce systems at scale, led conversational intelligence teams, hold patents in multi-agent AI orchestration, and have consulted for brands like Sephora, Ralph Lauren, and Ford.
